Fashion Show

Here's some pictures of the fashion show I was in a couple weeks ago at the Haggin Museum. It was put on by students and faculty from Delta.

This is the back of the dress I wore, not sure why the bows are crooked (could be because they got pinned to me about two seconds before I walked out)

Everyone running around trying to get ready on time. It was crazy back there, but we managed to find a small room off the main dressing room that no one knew about and commandeered it for ourselves.

Right before the show - hecka nervous! BTW, it was hard to get into that dress. Not only was it tight, it wasn't finished when I put it on so it had pins in it still. I scratched my leg trying to get dressed! Then my dress had to be finished while I was in it.

B&N

I started my new job at Barnes and Noble a couple weeks ago. Things are going pretty good there. I've been trained to do all kinds of things. I work at the register sometimes, I've worked in kids and customer service, and other stuff. Today all I did was put books away for four hours. It wasn't too bad though. I also helped out a little at customer service. So far I've only had one really difficult customer. I could barely understand a word he said and he got so mad at me. I can understand that it must be frustrating to not be able to express yourself but I don't understand why people act like it's my fault that they don't speak English very well. It's not like I'm mean to them or make fun of them.
Other than that things have been ok. I like some things better than others. I don't like closing very much because it takes me so long. I think I try to get everything to be so perfect that it takes me longer. Opening is better. That's what I did today. I even got free coffee and a bagel, so that was good.

Annoying Students

I've been back in school now for a couple of weeks. My classes are better than I thought they would be. I thought my philosophy class would be much worse. Not so much because of the course content but because of the people in the class. They're all like four or five years younger than me. People are very annoying at that age. But most of them turned out to be less annoying than I feared. Of course, there were exceptions. Such as the pompous guy in the front row who has to answer every question - at great length. And the two girls who sit directly in front of me and pass notes back and forth throughout the entire class time. And the girl who laughs way too loud for way too long at everything. At least no one's that annoying in my other classes
